  • If you are in the Asheville area you can find my work in the gorgeous Grove Arcade in downtown Asheville: Alexander & Lehnert Jewelry, 1 Page Ave., Suite 142.

    This is also where we will meet if you would like a consultation in person. It is one of the most beautiful buildings in Asheville.

  • It is possible there will be a difference from our initial estimate to the final cost. We work in a constantly fluctuating market, so gold or gemstones might vary over a few weeks. If there is a difference we will notify you of any changes so you can plan for the final payment.

  • If you are purchasing a piece from us and it does not need to be sized (rings), it will be shipped to you within 3-5 days. Custom work usually takes around 5 to 7 weeks from the time we finalize the design and sign the contract.

    You will be notified via text of the tracking information.

  • As this piece was specially created just for you to your specifications we have a no refunds on custom work policy.

  • We are happy to work on repairs for jewelry we made. Please contact us with information regarding the type of damage/repair- images are always very helpful! We stand behind what we make and if the repair is due to an error on our part, then we will fix it for no charge.

    If you have had the ring for a while and the repair is due to normal wear and tear on jewelry, then there will be a fee associated with the repair.

  • This is not a one size fits all answer. I will have to evaluate what you have to determine if we can use it in your new piece. If we do use a gemstone from a piece you have for example, there is a waiver I will have you sign- while we do everything to safely remove/reuse old pieces, we cannot guarantee there will not be some loss or damage

  • For custom work, we offer one complementary sizing within 6 months.

    If you are buying an already made piece directly from us please double check the sizing we have listed. If you have any questions before you purchase please ask! We are happy to send additional images as well.

Custom Order Process

Thank you for your interest in working with us at KAFJ.   Here are the basic outline of our custom order process:

Step 1: Meeting

Listening and understanding your design desires is the first step in creating any custom piece. We can set up a meeting at your convenience via Zoom or in person to discuss your design ideas.  Click here to schedule: KAFJ Initial Meeting.         We will also discuss the details of the process during our first meeting so you understand how we turn your idea into the perfect piece of jewelry just for you.

Don’t worry if you don’t know exactly what you want, I can help.  For the past two decades, I have helped people design the  jewelry of their dreams. Together we will discover the design for your very special piece.

Step 2. Contract Signing

Once the design is finalized and agreed upon, we will sign a contract with the estimated cost of your custom piece, a description of what is being made and any pieces of jewelry that are taken in for the process (i.e. old jewelry, gemstones…).

Step 3. Payment Schedule

Payment of half of the estimated cost is due at contract signing.  Payment can be made through: PayPal/credit card/cash or check in person.  The estimated cost is subject to change based on fluctuating metal and gemstone markets; but if there are any major changes we will notify you.   Custom orders generally take 5 to 8 weeks to complete after contract signing and payment is received.  Final payment is due upon finished product completion. Once final payment is received, delivery will be scheduled.
